This fun little top features a keyhole neckline, an accent of hand-dyed yarn, and pleats that are essentially a wide rib. The pleats are reduced and then eliminated to pull in the waistline a bit, then brought back to increase for the bust.
You can use any yarn that matches the gauge for the waistline and edging. The yarn used for the test pattern is Knit Picks Shine Worsted, but it was hand-dyed after purchase. You have the option of using a handspun, art yarn, or a bit of something fun from your stash.
This pattern is sized by measurements. I wanted the pleats to be proportionate to body size, so the resulting measurements do not grade by the standard increments. Sizes given are a suggestion of an actual bust measurement based on the finished measurement. You can choose based on your chest measurement plus 2-3 inches of ease. For example, if your bust measures 34 inches you could fit well into size 35, since its finished measurement of 37 inches would give you 3 inches of ease.
